21.08.2022: Las vegas #2
We hit the road early today — next stop: Vegas, round two. After a long four-hour drive, we rolled back into Sin City. But before heading to the hotel, there was only one thing on the agenda: shopping.
We went straight to the North Premium Outlets — and that turned out to be a very good call. With temperatures around 40°C outside, we were more than happy to wander through the cool, air-conditioned mall. We didn’t go too crazy this time… but let’s just say there are still plenty of chances ahead to really put the credit cards to work 🫣🫣🫣.
In the afternoon, we checked into Caesars Palace, our second base in Vegas — and got an unexpected surprise: thanks to a double booking, we received an upgrade 🥳🥳. So it was check-in at Nobu 🤩🤩🤩.
We spent the evening once again drifting along the Strip — wide-eyed, slightly overheated (still around 30°C), and soaking in the spectacle of the big hotels. Of course, we also tried our luck… and, slightly trembling, walked away with a $50 win at the roulette table 🍾🍾🍾.
22.08.2022: LA — here we come…
We were up early again today — the long drive from Las Vegas to LA was ahead of us. Thankfully, the journey went smoothly, and we arrived early enough in the afternoon to spend some relaxed time at the hotel and by the pool.
We didn’t head out again that day. Instead, we stayed in, enjoyed the excellent food at the hotel, and simply appreciated not being on the move for once.
